Angela has over 15 years of combined experience working in both the arts and behavioral health fields. She began her journey as a student artist at the Kansas City Art Institute studying printmaking. As an undergraduate intern she worked with adjudicated, inner city, and at-risk youth guiding them in learning about the arts and providing them with workshops that were creative and meaningful to them. Angela also has a history of advocating for victims of sexual assault during forensic evidence collection and taking their next steps, choices, and options towards a path of healing and recovery. With a strong belief in the healing power of creativity, she graduated with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Concentrating in Expressive Arts Therapy, from Prescott College, Arizona in May of 2017. As a postgraduate Provisional-Registered Art Therapist, Angela is working towards her credentials of ATR (Registered Art Therapist) and is committed to helping others empower themselves and manifest healing in their lives.
