Community 43, founded in 2020, is Arizona’s only accredited clubhouse operating under the international Clubhouse Model. As a nonprofit organization, it offers practical, evidence based support to individuals working on their mental health. The clubhouse approach helps adults transition from hospitalization back into everyday life by providing community connection, structured daily activities, and meaningful purpose. Through collaborative work, peer relationships, and supportive services, Community 43 empowers members to rebuild confidence, develop life and employment skills, and pursue personal recovery goals within a safe, inclusive environment.
At Community 43, we exist to empower our community by creating a safe, and intentional environment that promotes purpose, autonomy, and self-worth.
To be the leader in disrupting and transforming the clinical approach to mental health recovery. We believe that recovery happens in the community through relationships, purpose, and shared responsibility.
Community 43 is based on New York’s original Clubhouse, Fountain House. The Clubhouse International model has been replicated in more than 300 locations in 32 countries and 32 states. It currently serves more than 100,000 people with mental illness worldwide. Thanks to the Stead family’s vision, we are able to bring this model to Arizona and share it with the community.
